3M 947D 80 grit 940 mm x 50 mm is our high performance ceramic abrasive belt material with a waterproof backing. This belt is used for intermediate grinding.

We recommend 3M 947D where high pressure/high volume stock removal is required on stainless steel, steel and aerospace alloys.

3M 947D performs particularly well on wide belt sanders for graining stainless steel. It can also be used on backstand grinders for stainless steel and high pressure steel applications. Additionally, this belt works great on the Garboli through-feed tube grinders and polishers.
